She takes her girlfriend's hand. No longer afraid. It's the first of July, but she won't let her pride month leave her.

They smile together, hands clasped all the way down the street. Maybe this is the future they're looking for, the day no one bats an eye (or a wing or a tooth) at them. Demon in many ways, but never flinching. This is real. This is them. They are here.
