Jealousy and Envy

Misunderstood

Misused

Both toxic and poisonous

One more than the other

Jealousy:

You were mine

You were taken

You were stolen from my grasp

While Envy:

You were never mine to keep

Never mine to lose

Never mine to put a lock on

Your smile was never to me

but to her

Your words were never for me

Even though I wish they were

And now Envy consumes me

For what you all have that I want.

You have love

You have attention

You have safety from your mind

You don't plan your every move anticipating a response of any kind

You don’t rule your life based on guessed expectations.

Jealousy and Envy

Misunderstood

Misused

Both toxic and poisonous

One more than the other
