you're back now and i don’t feel as broken. you donated some of your bones to make me a new spine (now i can stand up straight) and my head is sewn onto the rest of my body with your tendons. it would be a shame to see me rot and fall apart again. you’re the only medicine i need. my withdrawals get so bad i’m stealing methadone from your mouth, sucking your teeth and taking you over, until we’re both submerged in the graves we dug ourselves. make this mattress the dirt and our bodies the shovel
